Parks Make Places: Beverley Holidays spreads community cheer with panto

2 May 2025

Beverley Holidays welcomed 180 excited pupils from White Rock Primary School this week for a special free performance of Jack and the Beanstalk, delivered by its in-house entertainment team.

Beverley Holidays - White Rock Primary Pantomime

This event was part of the British Holiday & Home Parks Association (BHHPA) Parks Make Places campaign, which highlights the vital role parks play in strengthening communities, supporting local economies, and promoting well-being.

The lively pantomime took place in the holiday park’s Starlight entertainment bar and was filled with laughter, excitement, and plenty of audience participation.

The Deputy Mayor of Torbay Barbara Lewis, and Councillor Chris Lewis also joined the fun, showing their support for community-focused events that create positive experiences for local children and families.

Speaking at the event Barbara Lewis said: "As mayor I’m always incredibly proud to see the spirit of generosity and togetherness alive in our area. I want to say a heartfelt thank you to the team at Beverley for going above and beyond in bringing a little extra magic to our young people."

In an extended show of support, six members of the Beverley Holidays team also joined staff and pupils in operating a ‘Walking Bus’ to and from White Rock Primary School, helping to ensure the children travelled safely and enjoyed every part of their adventure.

Claire Flower, Director of Beverley Holidays and BH&HPA National Vice Chair, said: "It was a real pleasure to welcome the children of White Rock Primary School for a fun-filled panto performance. As a family-run business now in our fourth generation and proudly trading for 67 years, giving back to our community is something we really value – and by the sound of the laughter, the children had a great time!"

Shaun Wingrove, Assistant Head Teacher, added: "What a wonderful opportunity provided to us by Beverley Park! The children were enthusiastic throughout, and it was a pleasure to see them laughing along and joining in. We love to get involved with our local area as it teaches the children the value of being part of a community."
